Sale! Sale! Sale!
It's about this time every year that I find myself in the dredges of winter with sub zero temperatures weighing me down. The excitement of Christmas is over, the decorations are put away, and while Valentine's Day is on the horizon, it just doesn't sustain me until the flowers bloom.
I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way come February, so we thought we would try to lift some spirits and have a sale. A little retail therapy never hurts!
So, for the month of February, The Spotted Monkey will be reducing its prices by 10-20% on all in stock baby blankets, skin care products and assorted accessories. Plus, we are still offering our free local pick up option.
Pull those fingers out of your mittens and start shopping - these deals won't last long!
Happy shopping!

Resolutions
How exciting! The start of a new year. At the end of each year, I find myself reflecting and attempting to determine what I can improve in the upcoming year. 2010 was a particularly exciting year, as it was the year that The Spotted Monkey moved from a dream to a reality.
So we thought it only appropriate to make some resolutions for all of our amazing customers and fans of The Spotted Monkey. Here goes:
1. We resolve to bring you exciting new products throughout 2011.
2. We resolve to keep our prices fair and reasonable.
3. We resolve to continue our commitment to researching new and unique items.
4. We resolve to send out a monthly newsletter to keep you up to date on the latest specials and products.
5. We resolve to offer only products that we use or would use for our own children and grandchildren.
Wishing you an upcoming year of health, happiness and love.
Happy new year,

Merry Christmas!
I am surprised each year at how quickly Christmas comes. Every year I promise myself to be more organized to have it all done weeks before the big day, but alas, this never becomes the case. But this year has been an even faster trip through each day leading to Christmas. The Spotted Monkey opened its' virtual doors only six weeks ago. And what a six weeks it has been!
We want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and patronage. We started The Spotted Monkey because we wanted to provide people with a place they could go to find fun, unique and hard to find items that didn't cost your first born. Judging by the warm reception and orders that keep coming in, we're on to something!
We have been working to line up some exciting and new products to introduce in the new year, and some that aren't even available in Canada! The Spotted Monkey will continue to work to bring you what you want and maybe even some things you didn't know you wanted.
From our family to yours, may you have the happiest of holiday seasons. Wishing you health, happiness and love in 2011.
Merry Christmas,

Tarpy is Coming!
One of my favorite things to do is troll the web in search for new products. And not just any new product, but one that is kid friendly, mom useful, kind to the environment, unique and not readily available.
Recently I found just such a product. And it is Tarpy. Tarpy is an eco-friendly splat mat with a wide variety of functions - dinner time, craft time, picnic time, play time, you name it! It is compact, nice looking and most importantly, the saver of floors.
Tonya from Tarpy and I decided that it was high time Canadians were given the opportunity to get their hands on such an amazing product. So, I am happy to announce that The Spotted Monkey will be the very first retailer of Tarpy in Canada. They are on their way as we speak (or type) so keep an eye out. You'll want one of these, trust me.
